I think it's cool that the CMs were paying enough attention to put you and your dad on a sub at the same time as your mom and wife and son were experiencing the alternate version. I wouldn't have expected it (as I'm sure you didn't), but it certainly does make a lot of sense. I don't really see it as being much different as their normal policy which allows some disabled guests a shorter wait time on some attractions and being able to have a limited number of family/friends accompany them. I also think it would be different for a group to have some members go into the room and then the rest demand to be put at the front of the regular queue. Good for Disney!

Regarding Mr. Potato and this part: "Of course, he then spent the rest of the queue periodically asking us 'why was there a talking potato?'" - I laughed when I read that. So what were your various answers to his question? ;)

I've loved Toy Story Midway Mania since my first ride, and I find that I'm loving it much more than Astro Blasters. With Astro Blasters, I'll go on if I happen to feel like it and the line isn't too long - which means I ride it maybe once every several months. Since my first ride on TSMM, I've made it a point of going there to see how long the line is. So far, we've only skipped it once because the wait was too long, especially with the heat at that particular time. Given a choice between the two, I'd pick TSMM over Astro Blasters every time, hands down.

Oh, and by the way, the current Indy movie is KINGDOM of the Crystal Skull, not Curse. ;)

Thanks for the great read!
